Parent Surveys

The vote is in.  My parents love me and they think I've been doing fabulous things for their kids.  Of course, I'll put the official parent survey data into my presentation, but the general feeling is that both kids and parents thought the reading cds were a good idea, and that much was learned.

And this week in reading groups I can tell that my middle group that they hasn't been practicing at home anymore.  My top group is of still super, and my low group - well all over the place, but the two that were working with readers during the project I let continue.  The motivation has finally kicked in for these guys and why stop now?

Many parents want the kids to continue to the end of the series, which won't be hard... just need to record three more readers worth (1 cd) and get their folders reorganized.  I do need to get their testing all done first though.

oops...

I really didn't think that much time had gone by since my last post, but....

When we came back from vacation I sent home readers that my kids had not yet started (21-24). I didn't send home new ones this past week, so they have had two weeks to practice with the current disc. My highest group is now in reader 22 (they are just flying!) and I moved up J.L., a faithful reader at home, from the 18 group to 22.  I also had an email from a parent this week who is super impressed with her child's reading.  T.A. has learned about 50 new sight words in the past month.  I think it's pretty impressive, too, as another child has learned about twelve words all year.  It's time for me to start pulling together all the data now!!

On another note, I had an interview at a middle school this week..... PLEASE keep me in your prayers!!!
